Peg was one in a million and I feel so lucky to have had such a lovely granny for so long. I will miss her naughty cackle and the fun she brought to any occasion. Not sure Peg if coined ‘Becka the wrecker’ but it definitely stuck. ‘Don’t waste it!’ ‘Doo-ee!’ and so many other Pegisms will stay with me forever. As will her love of sherry (which I’ve definitely inherited), playing rummy, sevens and the memory of her sunning herself on the front step at Peewit Road. I know she was pleased I’d finally found a nice chap and Charlie feels honoured to have known her. Sleep well, darling Peg, the silliest of all old fools  xxx
